About Us...

Unassuming and hidden behind a black door through a non descript entry, Vernon's boasts a cozy and intimate dining area with slick black diamond plaster walls, rich red planked ceilings, and elegant music. Our lounge is actually the premier jazz club in New Mexico featuring great acts every Weds 7:30-10pm Fri 8:30- Midnight and two classic jazz dinners shows on Sunday's 5pm & 7:30pm

"I have had the opportunity to eat at Vernon's Hidden Valley Steaks on numerous occasions. Each visit is more pleasurable than the previous! Hands down Vernon's has the best steak in Albuquerque. Also, the atmosphere makes your dining experience fabulous. It is fashioned like an old speakeasy of the Prohibition Era. The door to enter Vernon's is hidden in the back of a liquor store. You have to say, "Joe sent me" to get in! I love the coziness with the fire place and live piano.

Overall Rating (Outstanding) "My wife and I both really enjoyed our time at Vernons. It was so fun to have the speakeasy environment with the live music. Everyone was very nice, and the food was delicious (my wife says it's the best she's ever had). Not to mention how easy it was to make reservations on opentable.com. The only downside is how much it cost. Because of the price we won't be able to be frequent guests, but will certainly be coming back again on occasions. Overall Rating (Very Good) "Over all Vernon's is top notch. The food was prepared to perfection and the wait staff was attentive while not being an annoyance. There was a group of diners nearby that tended to get loud and obnoxious at times. I will and have already recommended this hidden steakhouse to coworkers and friends.
